Ode to Fallen Warriors
Great Mother clad in red
Sea of sun bleached, wind smooth bones lay before me
Generations now only a word.
What struck you from a cloud?
Did brave warriors honor your fall?
Or were they cowards.
Longing for your return
I wander eternal night
In search of new beginnings.
One day to hear your thunder.
To see your young chase the wind
And know you won the battle.
