A fool was I,
My door left open?
Did sign above,
Declare no love?
In you strolled,
Lonely soul,
The pain of life,
Had taken its toll.
Weary were we,
Of those deniers,
Thieves of love,
Emotional liars.
Yet did they serve,
Our heart’s desire,
Igniting a spark,
From whence a fire.
Shroud removed,
Hope anew.
Perhaps love grows,
For we two?
Take my hand,
Know my heart,
From seed of friendship,
Love may start.
