Each day, you assail me,
Your attacks ever uncaring.
From morning sun to moonlit night,
Relentless, be your ploy.
Ever striving, my dreams to defeat,
My heart in perpetual need.
But for want of change, new life to lead,
Dearth of strength does constrain.
Each charge I mount,
False challenge to greet,
Hunger of loathing prevails
Short-lived the battle,
Surrender my fate.
Loss in another dimension,
To your greed, I fell in defeat.
As I face the dawn,
New day to test my strength,
I call out your name in remorse,
My scars too many to heal.
For there you appear before me,
My archenemy who inhabits the mirror.
