When first we met, you seemed so shy,
Your countenance bold yet bearing meek.
What knowledge did I, curious old soul,
Hope to garner from one so young?
Day did come, you felt heart free,
Your smile once frown, began to bloom,
Enchanting change forthcoming
In well-spring of life, your voice far-flung.
Be there vast wisdom, in so endearing a smile,
That even the wise, must bow,
New perceptions did flow like manna,
Once your voice of youth unchained.
You awoke your dreams, cast off evil spells,
Did challenge those who scorned you.
To attacks so grievous,
Defiance your blade unrestrained.
Were that man, never humble as much,
Attempt your path, unaided.
Yet you, in your wisdom disproved all fault,
Erasing all guilt your smile now chastens.
From deep within, your heart so pure,
You brought forth passion.
With strength of spirit, you destroyed self-denials,
To answer call of love that beckons.
Defeat the call for all perfection,
Accept yourself, an incredible person.
If love you feel, withhold it not,
Reap the joy of your beloved’s charms,
Your time has come, your smile shines bright,
A beacon to all, let none deny,
New chapter of life commences,
Receive love’s bounty with open arms.
Wage not war, on those you love,
Disarm your words, ungird your armor.
Do not battle your heart’s desire,
For with it may come, defeat
In times of trial, emotions rampant,
Let not slanders be used as weapon,
Blunt, harsh thoughts all fears allay,
That again, in peace, spirits may meet.
For in our folly, if anger win,
Our future soon unvarying victims
Betray the pain, rejoice the spirit,
Deny in passing, no sorrows to greet.
Pledge resolve you possess the power,
Unite your thoughts, your prayers, and honor
For in you rests, once thought dormant,
A stronger tomorrow, anger’s fate bittersweet.
We feel your pain,
We know your sorrow,
But to live only for today,
Denies us your tomorrow.
Your wounds run deep,
We cannot imagine,
Our minds naïve,
Such oppressive burden.
But we are those who love you,
We pledge our troth ever true,
To stand in honor of you,
Your strength to help renew.
Let not those who assail you,
Deny you life befitting,
Rise above their cowardice,
Stand tall and unremitting.
Each day call out our names,
Send forth pure white dove,
For each tomorrow will be better,
Rejoicing in our love.
A choice was made in heat of moment,
Thought innocent for sure.
No planning done beforehand,
Was wisdom in need of cure?
As would happen, mistake was made,
Chance swiftly played part,
What started as childish prank
Resulted with broken heart.
Be not fool to think it wrong,
But prankster took a chance,
Keen for thrill, no thought of others,
Did do the Devil’s dance.
Now scars prevail where love once reigned,
Mementos of what could have been.
For had choice been wise, instead of rash,
Perhaps none would have waded in.
Now fools have lost, their value decayed,
Love’s promises vanished like summer snow.
To challenge the fates in search of pleasure,
Brought sweet justice in Karma’s fatal blow.
“Nothing is terrible except fear itself.” [1]
Wise words from the past,
Spoken in truth, dread to dissolve.
Languish not in swamp of anxiety,
Mind heavy laden, heart downcast,
What power possessed may resolve!
For what emotion, force so strong,
Could endure fear’s onslaught, remain steadfast
Sanction the mind, inner strength to evolve.
Make your fears the enemy of themselves,
Set course of spirit, new realms explore,
Free
of fear, all sins atoned, now absolve.

Hate, what an awful emotion,
Energy wasted most often by devotion.
Hate is a crutch made of thin paper,
Supporting at most offensive vapor.
Hate is not revenge,
Nor form of amends.
Hate is a fire, long smoldering within,
Awaiting release against one thought in sin.
Hate is a cancer, eating ones soul,
It gnaws at all logic while losing control.
Hate is no friend, nor enemy of foe,
It is vender of pain and bringer of woe.
Hate defied if spirit at rest,
No longer burden, emotional test.
Hate brings no pleasure,
Despite all one’s hopes, it is no treasure.
Hate is your enemy, never your friend.
By-pass all hate, let love transcend.
No masochist was I born,
That pain be craved lest I die.
But life enduring,
Experiences incurring,
No choices always have I.
The pain of heart, not inherent to suborn,
Weighs heavily in face of lie.
For spirit to revive,
Heart must contrive,
To defeat pain and survive.
Let those who would harm,
With behaviors so cruel,
Wallow in false glory,
Their pleasures just story,
Denied by moral bounty.
Rejoice in triumph, heart pain soon disarm,
For no yesterday be today a rebirth.
Tempt not the fates, sorrow be bought,
Let revenge be not sought,
Ere all come to naught.
Doom not the heart to tears of mourning,
Withdrawal of love may oft engender.
For lack of words, the voice goes still,
Sting of loss entwines as spirit doth meander.
Once strength of love betrayed the past,
Overcoming pain and sorrow.
Injured hearts reaching out, love to mend their wounds,
Each seeking a new tomorrow.
But one yet stands, lost midst emotions,
Fears of spirit bind to wasteland of confusion.
Yet wanders young soul, searching for a reason
Thoughts a sea, mind deep in illusion.
Does love know the way, a light within the darkness,
Can any truly say, in life is no conflict?
For what be the battle, if not for a heart’s desire,
To free one’s spirit, tragic memories to evict.
Let hearts not be sealed, with shutters of despair,
Throw open the gates of regret, unbind chains of woe,
Prepare the heart for renewal,
That love you may ever know.
You said you do when actually you don’t!
You said, “Yes, I will!”, but you didn’t!
You promised you would, then you wouldn’t!
You swore you could, yet just couldn’t!
Were these half-truths to disarm?
Your confusion did naught but alarm.
I believed in your words,
Perhaps hoped would be better.
I thought you different,
But now see you as player.
Why such deception,
Does serve your heart well?
Will games that you played
Bring joy to your life,
To cleave another’s dreams,
By one cut of the knife?
Were the words you spoke,
In truth mere ploy,
That in the fiction you live,
I acted your toy?
I remain your friend,
Please treat me as such.
Treasure what I offer,
But not make me your crutch.
Open your heart and mind
True love may be easy to find.
