Free at Last.

My soul doth lie in shadows deep,

Mourn as I must midst castle keep.

What matter my hue?

I cry to so few?

Does my tint of abyss

Deny me love’s kiss?

Would that I know

Great affections to flow,

My soul afire

A heart’s desire,

But born as I am

Slave did they damn

No matter my tone

I shall die here alone.

Free at last.

Americans All!

Please help me, my friend,

Have we come to an end?

Has reason deserted our land?

Many fight for the right,

Guaranteed by our laws,

Then deny it to others out of hand.

Please join me, my friend,

Our rights to defend,

Battling this vile new disease.

For Americans, are we all,

Unwilling to face downfall,

Our freedom not built on our knees.

Make America Strong Again.

In this age of denial,

Sanity itself is on trial.

Long ruled by deceit,

Moral bonds corrupted by conceit.

Our days pursuing right,

Dark nights in woeful plight.

Age of logic lost,

Defied reason, mortal the cost.

New age soon to begin,

For some cause of chagrin.

But wisdom cries out,

Challenge your doubt.

New bridges to be spanned.

For united we will stand.

Resist all the hate,

Pass thru the new gate.

America will be stronger.

What is Authentic Faith?

To me, authentic faith is not:

  • Knowing I can be a good person.
  • Knowing I can help others in need.
  • Knowing I can keep my promises.
  • Knowing I can overcome when required.
  • Knowing I can admit when I am wrong.

No dear ones, authentic faith to me is none of these things.

Hear me when I say, authentic faith is knowing I WILL do all these things and so much more.

My Path

Once trodden now gone barren

Neath arms of the forest,

A path lies hidden

Its visage long surrendered to emerald carpet

Life returns.

Unshod I wander

Earths pulse below me

Each pace fortified

Living energy compels

Tomorrow’s battles

Won today

Yesterday’s sorrow yet lingers

Memories to teach

Lessons unlearned.

The future unknown

Tomorrow not yet today

New trials to meet

No advantage from the scale

I face the rising sun.

Was It A Dream?

Was it a dream?

An essence of lavender

Adrift upon a moonlit breeze.

Did lips touch velvet petals kissed

By the tears of fairies?

So true my senses awakened

A memory of what was,

An image of what is,

A hope for what will be?

To hear a vision

To taste a dream

To hold a spirit

A scent of passion.

What substance be love

That it hold so strong

Bound fast

No longing for freedom.

Would that all

Cursed so be

Bonds so pure

Unto eternity.

My Prayer For You

I once prayed for a friend

Someone strong to the end.

My weakness to shield

When spirit did yield.

With weapons of wisdom

Forged in life’s maelstrom.

Stand to the fore

Against inner war.

Did fend off delusion

To shatter confusion.

Darkness of night

Defeated by light.

Hope now my sword

Life’s passion restored.

I am you,

You are me,

We are one.

My prayer is for us.

A Smile

Trouble laden

I challenged the night

Free my thoughts

As well I might.

Through shadow mist

My nomadic mind

Sought reprieve

Pain left behind.

No light of lamp

Nor glow of dawn

Beset my path

As I trod on.

On ebony cowled bridge

As strength did fade

Echoes of life

Near me bade.

Thoughts once stone

Rendered by mist

Silence broken

Now tender kissed.

From the shadows

Velvet glow

Serene vision

Arose to show.

A smile

Beacon of hope

A smile

Promise of tomorrow

A smile

Your smile!
